From the moment I met Ioanna, I knew in my heart that I was in safe and very capable hands. I had arrived in Paxos alone and on a mission - to find my dream home on Paxos - the heavenly island I had been visiting for many years. Naturally I was anxious about the paperwork involved and not being able to speak Greek !I originally made contact with the Roula Rouva office in Lakka after I had seen some properties on their website. We arranged to meet in lovely Loggos and Ioanna drove me around. She knows the island like the back of her hand and everywhere we went she was greeted by friendly waves and greetings from the locals. The house took my breath away - it was perfect. Ioanna put in my offer and later that very day, she rang me with the great news. From that moment, she and the amazing team at Roula Rouva, carried me through the purchase process. With seemingly effortless efficiency, the legal work was underway and all the while thetransactions were translated into English with an interpreter on hand to reassure me.At the beginning of February, Ioanna and I took the little ferry to Paxos to complete the contract with the vendors at the Notarys office in Gaios.Purchasing a property abroad can be a daunting process, but not when you have Ioanna and Roula Rouva by your side all the way. We have become great friends and as you can imagine we are both longing to meet up again in Paxos. So, what made us visit the beautiful Island of Paxos, Greece?In July 2017 we got married, went to a small independent Travel Agent who managed to book us the honeymoon of a lifetime! Our experience of buying a house in Corfu through Roula Rouva has been incredible.Roula is extremely professional, has high standards and at the same time is very friendly. No problem has been too difficult for her to solve. Queries were promptly addressed and she kept us up to date with developments, as our house was built, by sending emails and photographs.Once we arrived in Corfu to furnish the property we benefited from Roula’s intimate knowledge of the island and its retailers. We met Ms Rouva for the first time by chance in August 2009 on a hot, lazy afternoon strolling up the path from the beautiful Agios Georgios beach. (We had only known the island for a few days and had not fully realized the innocence and honesty of the Corfiots!!) Katerina paid much attention to detail regarding every aspect of the contract, to make it perfect. We could not believe how attentive Roula was even after the purchase. She helped us with everything from sorting out the utility transfers to help with shopping, to simply ringing us to make sure we were ok!
