We’ve travelled a lot as a family but we kept coming back to Corfu.

We love the island – its welcoming people, its beautiful scenery and its greenness, its special bays, its gorgeous villages and its food. Getting around is easy – nowhere’s very far from anywhere else and  the public transport’s reliable and inexpensive.

A few years ago, we decided we wanted to spend as much time as we could there and started to look for possibilities. For us, Roula Rouva was the go-to real estate agency – the island’s biggest, in fact, with a portfolio to suit all ambitions and pockets.

We browsed long & hard online (everything’s easy to access, with lots of information about what’s currently on offer, as well as that all-important information about Corfu itself).

With the UK sadly leaving the EU, we needed to find somewhere fairly quickly and Roula Tziliou, Natalia Tsiro Rouva & the team stepped up to the task with the friendliness visitors to Kerkyra are used to finding wherever they go. We’re in the early stages of learning Greek, but everyone’s English is excellent.

We quickly learnt that we didn’t have to be two minutes from the sea or even to have a sea view to find the property that would suit us down to the ground. For us, it was Poulades, a few minutes drive from Corfu Town, set in the hills, green with abundant olive groves, with shops, restaurants & beaches minutes away. There’s everything from exquisite stone & tile merchants to wine retailers, bakeries, butchers, fruit & vegetables & garage services.

Once we had chosen our dream house the purchase procedure went very smoothly and quickly for us. We were kept up to date with all developments throughout the conveyancing process and we were told the relationship with Roula Rouva is for life. They are there to help with anything we may need such as gardeners, builder, electrician etc.
