We met Ms Rouva for the first time by chance in August 2009 on a hot, lazy afternoon strolling up the path from the beautiful Agios Georgios beach. Roula kindly welcomed us into her office with delicious frappe and quickly familiarized herself with our requirements. We were excited by her promising range of interesting properties that we had not previously discovered via internet searches. We were delighted that the property we wanted to purchase was on Roula's books. Roula is the most charming and likable of characters with a fantastic sense of humour and also a comfortingly natural, confident and professional approach. Roula held our hand through the whole unfamiliar buying process and succeeded in comforting our MANY worries and fears! (We had only known the island for a few days and had not fully realized the innocence and honesty of the Corfiots!!) The lawyer that completed our contract whom Roula advised to us, was extremely thorough and precise and equally trustworthy. Katerina paid much attention to detail regarding every aspect of the contract, to make it perfect. We could not believe how attentive Roula was even after the purchase. She helped us with everything from sorting out the utility transfers to help with shopping, to simply ringing us to make sure we were ok! We both feel completely privileged and lucky to have met Roula and her family. Besides her expertise she has been an extremely good friend to us and we hope we may enjoy her brilliant company for many years to come. We would like also to mention how beautiful Roula's Eco-house's are. Roula is a designer of impeccable taste and awareness. She uses the highest quality materials throughout all of her Pixida constructions and the result is most incredible. She is clearly very talented in this field. Hi Andy, Roula and all at Roula Rouva Real Estate,So, we are now house owners on Corfu for real! And we want to say a massive thank you to Andy Marshall.From the very start, we knew it was going to be OK as Andy really took the time and trouble to get to know us and what we were looking for. I’m sure we took up far too much of your time, over a few visits to the island, Andy, but it was worth it for us as ‘our’ house became the obvious choice from all the properties you took us round. We really appreciated that we were never pressured, always welcomed and encouraged and, when there were parts of the negotiation and buying process we wanted to do ‘our way’, you accommodated that too. You find yourself half an earth away from Corfu, the lawyer you signed with to represent you in your property deal is acting like so much of thin air, no approach had been done to banks for financing, it turns out that your application to the Ministry of Defence which will allow you to purchase property in Greece has disappeared – the list merely carries on and on …….Then you find a suitable property with RRCorfuRealEstate .. What now?Roula and her team takes over. They sort out all the requirements, find appropriate advisors, lawyers and financing for the purchase. They assist you by continuous communication, keeping you on top of developments every step of the way. They trace the lost permission to purchase application documents and ensure that it is submitted to the relevant authorities with all the attachments and comment, even assist in liaising with the lawyer who seemed to have evaporated. Appointments are made, contact is set up in your resident country with representatives of the bank that agreed to do the financing, all tax registration and legal and auditing representation in Greece is organised and then changed at the last minute when the personal approval from the Minister of Defence is obtained in the nick of time. The transaction has now changed from an off-shore investment to a personal purchase and all has been handled extremely professionally, helpfully and inclusively by Roula Rouva and her team.Yes, some three years passed in the meantime, but the deal has gone through successfully. We came to Corfu to look at a house we had heard of through family, it was unfortunately not for us and we were devastated. We were then advised by friends to phone Mr Andrew Marshal to see if he could help, at a days notice he collected us and arranged viewings of eight or so houses within our budget and whisked us round and was extremely polite, knowledgeable and so so helpful that within two days we had chose our new house arranged a solicitor sorted a tax number and bank account , the service we received I must say was some of the very best you could ever wish for Roula Rouva also helped with all advice and legalities and is a very pleasant and helpful lady to do business with, nothing was too much trouble to make the purchase of our property as easy and straightforward as possible. After buying the property Andrew Marshall still stayed in touch and went above and beyond the call of duty helping us in any way he could to advise and help us settle in.
